Tim Reeves
and Patrick Farrance complete Donington qualifier and first Isle of
Man TT practice on the same day
World Sidecar champion Tim Reeves and Patrick Farrance had a busy
day yesterday taking part in qualifying during the day at the
Donington Race track for the World sidecar Championships and then
flying to the Isle of Man to take part in the evening practice.
It was the team’s first experience of the TT and afterwards Reeves
revealed how much he enjoyed the experience.
“That was absolutely fantastic. I can see why everyone has raved
about the event. I’ve never experienced anything like that anywhere
else in the world in all the circuits I’ve raced. It is an awesome
place – nothing’s the same. I’m used to going out for a lap of a
minute or two so to go for 20 minutes or so is brilliant. I didn’t
want to stop.”
Saturday’s TT practice was a free, untimed practice but Tim
originally qualified in pole at Donington Park although his time was
later beaten by the French team of Sebastien Delannoy and Gregory
Cluze.
