HOW IT ALL
Club's function is to actively support and promote the Isle of Man TT…
it was created as the Trophy Club by the ACU in the early 1970s, but it
soon became apparent that for it to work it would need enthusiasts, not
a governing body, at the helm - it was then that the TT Supporters Club
was formed in 1972.
With former Sidecar Racer Fred Hanks as Chairman, the club began it's
fund raising activities. Since the policy of the Isle of Man Tourist
Board & the ACU is to pay towards competitors travel expenses, the TTSC
decided to help competitors in other ways.
THE MAJOR CHANGE IN HOW WE HELPED RIDERS.
Unfortunately we had to give up the club shop
that was situated behind the TT Grandstand in 2014, this prevented us
helping riders in the way that we use to by supplying them with goods,
such as clothing, duct tape and cable ties ect.
WE DO NOW.
Our priority remains the same which is that the TTSC
will still help
each and every competitor during the Isle of
Man TT Races
so we have reverted back to giving riders a financial donation with the
money raised by the club each year.
We have a annual riders draw the format for riders draw
is for the riders that are
members of the club and competing at the TT their names are in the draw
if they are lucky enough to have their name pulled out of the hat they get a further financial reward,
this normally takes place during the TT fortnight on Manx Radio.
RAISE MONEY TO HELP THE RIDERS.
Our main source of
funding is through annual memberships and selling TTSC merchandise, we have recently opened an online
shop with all profits made from the sale of
goods going into the funds for distribution to riders. Visit our online
